Zimbabwean youths step in to make a difference

ZimHealth-Europe is pleased to report on the achievement of a fellow Zimbabwean, Arjuna Sivakumaran, who bravely raised a staggering 2,095 Swiss francs in support of ZimHealth-Europe by successfully running a half-marathon race in Edinburgh in March 2010.
Arjuna finished in an impressive 8th position driven by his goal of raising enough money for the purchase of a newborn resuscitation unit for the Pelandaba Clinic in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Following the half-marathon, Arjuna sent out a note of thanks in which he stated that, “…I couldn’t have done it without all your support and kind generosity, which will most definitely not be forgotten, and which most definitely made all the difference. So TATENDA, SIYABONGA, THANK YOU, once again”. Arjuna received donations from supporters in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States of America as well as Australia.
ZimHealth-Europe would like to thank Arjuna for his courageous effort as well as for the contribution he has made in support of Zimbabwe, and congratulate him on successfully completing the half-marathon in a brilliant 1 hour 22 minutes!
ZimHealth-Europe would also like to acknowledge and send out a special thank you to all those who supported Arjuna throughout his fundraising campaign; this continued support is greatly appreciated.
Congratulations and thank you Arjuna!
