In his address to the assembled guests, H.E. Ambassador Palai, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Botswana to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva said, “We the people of SADC have come together for our annual SADC Day get together in Geneva to renew our commitment to continue to work together as a Southern African community and to strengthen our social networks”

Zimbabweans and ZimHealth members from all over Switzerland were invited and mobilized by H:E. Ambassador Mushayavanhu, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva. ZimHealth members were active in this event, with Lizzie Garande providing the Southern African music at the event that was held along the shores of Lake Geneva.

Ambassador Palai announced to the SADC community in Geneva and Switzerland that the 2016 ZimHealth annual fund raising event that will see Oliver Mtukudzi and his Black Spirits band performing at the event which will take place on 17th November 2016 in Geneva.

Zimhealth’s Bongani Ncube-Zikhali, Jenifer Mutano, Martha Chikwore and Liz Mason followed up with the happy crowd, registering 212 SADC nationals for the Zimhealth membership, tickets for the 17 November ZimHealth- Mtukudzi music event and donations for investment towards health for all in Zimbabwe.


Zimhealth SADC 2016

The Zimbabwe Network for Health (ZimHealth) seeks to raise funds to procure and distribute m edicines, diagnostics, vaccines and other commodities to rehabilitate the health facilities in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe’s once robust health-care services have declined in recent years, exacerbated by the AIDS epidemic, a serious economic crisis and the considerable exodus of skilled personnel including doctors and nurses.
